“We understand that good data is essential to the success of our partners. Through 2BA we provide reliable, up-to-date and complete product information, which we can work with with confidence.”

Denis de Vette, Managing Director Van der Valk Solar Systems

Why did Van der Valk Solar Systems decide to join 2BA?

We have joined 2BA to share product data quickly and efficiently with our trading partners and customers. This collaboration streamlines our communication and reduces the chance of errors.

Why is data (quality) high on the agenda?

We are strongly committed to data quality because we want to optimally support our customers and end users. By continuously working on good data, we prevent errors and waste, which increases our efficiency and improves our service.

How do you view the role of 2BA as a shared data center?

2BA offers us a standardized way to make data available in a clear way. Thanks to this approach, partners easily recognize and use our article data throughout the chain.

How do you view the ETIM classification, where do you see the advantages and challenges?

The young Solar industry sometimes makes it difficult to classify articles correctly. We appreciate the rapid developments within ETIM, which support us in correctly classifying new products.

What are the expectations of your chain partners such as sales channels and processors?

By maintaining ETIM, we ensure that our chain partners always have access to current and complete product data. This allows sales channels and installers to work safely and efficiently with our products.

What was the (data) challenge and how did the ‘journey’ to the triple plus go?

Managing and sharing data was our biggest challenge on the way to the triple plus label. Much of the information was available internally within our ERP system and had to be sent to 2BA via our PIM system. This process still requires regular updates, especially when introducing new products. The transition from ETIM 8 to ETIM 9 made it possible to achieve a perfect score on all product characteristics

2BA ensured a smooth data exchange by integrating with our PIM system. Their tools and personal guidance played a crucial role in achieving the triple plus label. Even after implementation, they continue to support us with updates and extra help, so that we continuously meet the highest standards.

What are the next steps on the agenda regarding data?
  • Expansion of multiple packaging forms
  • Expansion of attachments such as certificates and EPDs
  • Product references such as ‘fits’ belongs to etc.
  • Maintaining ETIM (dynamic)
  • Possible connection Uniform Objects Library

Our product range is continuously expanding. We ensure that new articles and associated data are always available via 2BA. Keeping our data up-to-date and actively maintaining ETIM remain our top priorities.
